A country control, with clear boundaries.

FireGate works in the visitor's browser after the storefront loads. It is not an edge firewall and does not block direct checkout or API traffic, or scrapers that do not run JavaScript. A VPN can change a visitor's apparent country. It cannot guarantee removal of bot sessions from Shopify Analytics.

Unknown locations and lookup failures allow the visitor through. Country rules can affect real shoppers too, so review your traffic before enabling them.
