Before starting
Public release is in preparation. After the approved listing is available, install through Shopify. Prepare two to four existing themes and make your intended changes in Shopify's theme editor. FireBoost does not supply or license themes.
- Open FireBoost in Shopify admin and connect the experiment pixel.
- Open each selected theme in the theme editor. In App embeds, enable FireBoost experiments and click Save. Repeat for every test theme.
- Create your test with a hypothesis, traffic weights and attribution window.
- Use each theme's verification link. Confirm the correct theme renders, allow analytics where required, and return to the app to check setup.
- Start only when setup checks pass. Keep tested themes unchanged during measurement; use a new test for a different revision.
- Pause or stop from the experiment controls. FireBoost never publishes a winning theme for you.
Understanding your numbers
Why do numbers differ from Shopify Analytics?
FireBoost reports measured experiment visitors, not Shopify sessions. Reporting periods, consent, attribution windows, payment status and tracking coverage can differ.
Is a higher conversion rate automatically a winner?
No. Small samples are uncertain. Reported intervals describe uncertainty; sequential periods can also differ because traffic or offers changed.
What counts as active time or a bounce?
Active time measures foreground engagement with an idle cutoff. Visits close after 30 minutes of inactivity. A bounce is a one-page visit with under 10 seconds of active time and no measured cart or checkout interaction. Pending visits are excluded from completed-visit statistics.
